REFLECTION
Experience
I found this module as a whole to be very interesting as I have had zero previous experience when it came to coding, especially with website coding so learning all of this for the first time as a bit difficult since a lot of the materials used in my past modules and classes have all had content that I was already familiar with. I'd say I have mixed feelings about Interactive Design as a whole, I found the coding to be both fun and annoying, especially when what I had in mind doesn't work out at all and everything fails completely which was clear with my Project 2, the weakest of my three projects for this class.
Observation
Throughout this module I learned how much of it was trial-and-error and learning from your mistakes as you had to constantly check if the code was working or not and looking through your codes to see where you made a mistake and how you could improve. I personally am not a big fan of work where massive amounts of trial-and-error is required which may be why the sciences were my weakest area in school.
Findings
I found that simplicity is key with this class as trying to come up with a complicated design can be incredibly difficult for a first-time website designer, especially since my knowledge at the time was incredibly substandard which made the coding process quite stressful. I don't think I'll be using these skills in the future since I'm pursuing a filmmaking, writing and pre-production orientated career but having these skills is helpful.
