Task 3 - Character Design Executions
INSTRUCTIONS
PRACTICAL
For our Task 3. we had to finalize our character's design and draw them in their hero pose. I started off by coloring in the base outfit I drew for him because I needed a baseline reference for how I was going to color him in his hero pose.

Figure 1.1: Colored Design Turnaround |
The design in figure 1.1 is also an updated version of his original design from Task 1 as I felt that he lacked details in some areas and that there were ways I could improve his design. I originally wanted to have the Eremite symbols on the back side of the capes but you normally wouldn't see it much in game so I decided not to include it, and so it would be easier to draw for the hero pose.
Figure 1.2: Hero Pose |
With the coloring done, I moved onto the hero pose for his character. I was running out of time when it came to this step so I was not able to get many sketches done for the design and so because of that, I went with the first pose that worked well with his design.

Figure 1.3: Final Splash Art |
Once I had the hero pose, I moved onto drawing the background for his splash art. Because his character revolved around using the sand to sneak around and bursting out to strike his opponent, I drew the sand art to make it look like that.
REFLECTION
This was quite a difficult task for me to do as I haven't done much practice work with drawing full body art of a character at different angles, especially when it came to accessories like the gauntlets or the capes since I haven't done that kind of art before. Doing the art for the splash art was also interesting since I haven't tried doing this level of art before either as I've mainly only done headshots and ideating, actual practical work with art isn't my strongest suit.
