Vehicle and Prop Design - Project 2: Production

28.11.2024 - 13.12.2024 / Week 9 - Week 11 Ilhan Rayan bin Khairul Anwar / 0361205 Vehicle and Prop Design / Bachelor of Design (Honours) in Creative Media Project 02 - Production INSTRUCTIONS PRACTICAL For Project 2, we had to continue working on our vehicle by adding more details and designing the dashboard of the interior of the vehicle. We could also use this time to design the prop since we had to do that as well. Figure 1: Interior Design Concept I started off by designing the interior of the tank cockpit using photos from different images on google as well as video game screenshots for ease since they have much better photos of vehicle interiors. Environment Design - Final Project: Complete Environment Design Bible

23.09.2024 - 18.11.2024 / Week 01 - Week 15 Ilhan Rayan bin Khairul Anwar / 0361205 Environment Design / Bachelor of Design (Honours) in Creative Media Final Project: Complete Environment Design Bible INSTRUCTIONS PRACTICAL For the Final Project, we had to refine the previous exterior and interior designs and upload them onto a call sheet with additional sketches of detailed areas of said design. I was running out of time so I was not able to do proper proper polishing for both designs but I was able to add a few more details to the interior design since I preferred that over the Exterior design. Figure 1.1: Updated Interior Design I added in a bit more paneling to the walls since some of them felt too empty and I also added lighting from the ceiling so that the location wouldn't look so dark. I already knew what I was going to design and it was going to be an interior location featuring the Worldmind, a giant supercomputer that's vital to the planet. Figure 1.1: Interior First Sketch My first sketch of the interior was heavily inspired by The British Museum, which was the set they used when filming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which used this location as the headquarters for the Illuminati. Game Art - Final Project: Art Bible

Because this module is connected with Environment Design, I included the drawings that I had made in that module in the slides since they were also Marvel Rivals based. Because my classmate told me that we needed cover art for our art bible, I decided to repurpose my unused splash art that I made for the cover since I did not have enough time to design an entirely new cover just for the art bible. REFLECTION I found this module overall to be the most fun of the three that I took this semester. Game Art - Project 2: 3D/2D Character and Environment (Porting and Testing)

27.10.2024 - 11.12.2024 / Week 10 - Week 12 Ilhan Rayan bin Khairul Anwar / 0361205 Game Art / Bachelor of Design (Honours) in Creative Media Project 02 - 3D/2D Character and Environment (Porting and Testing) INSTRUCTIONS PRACTICAL For project 2, we had to take our designs from Project 1 and essentially port them into a recreation of the game we're following. The MiB clearly states we have a choice between 3D and 2D porting / testing however my lecturer wanted us to do 3D only. Because I failed Anatomy and Character Sculpture, the class about how to 3D model, my skills with ZBrush and other software like Blender are essentially non-existent since I was very far behind in that class. So instead, I chose to do two porting tests in 2D rather than just one test in 3D since the MiB clearly states that we have a choice between the two, if we were supposed to only do 3D then it should have been changed before the semester started. I knew from the start I wanted to design a map for Marvel Rivals as I was obsessed with the game at the time. As of writing this I am still obsessed with the game as it's incredibly fun especially with friends. I came up with two ideas for what I could do for the environment, the first being Castle Doom, the castle owned by the Marvel villain Victor Von Doom in the fictional country of Latveria. Latveria plays an incredibly crucial role in a lot of Marvel stories and Doom is already a character in Marvel Rivals so designing a map based on his home would make the most sense. In our proposal we had to propose ideas for all three vehicles as well as prop proposals for what we were going to design. I compiled what I found interesting and was interesting in drawing and presented it to my lecturer in my first proposal. For my land vehicle, I wanted to do a hoverbike because I thought they were really cool and there's a lot of potential for the shape and design of them. For the sea vehicle, I wanted to design an underwater crab mech that would be used for underwater construction and scavenging and for the air vehicle I wanted to design a spacecraft that was a mixture of stealth drone and fighter jet. Game Art - Project 1: Character Design and World Creation

I started off by coming up with a mood board for what I could do for this module. My two main ideas for what I wanted to do was to either bring the character Testament from the video game Guilty Gear Strive into Fortnite, or to take the Marvel comics character Darkhawk and bring him into Marvel Rivals. I presented both ideas to my lecturer and he said that either would be alright for me to do. I ended up deciding to do Darkhawk for Marvel Rivals since I was obsessed with the game at the time. For most of the semester however, I had no access to the game due to it being in the open beta which had just ended so I had to rely on...
