Reflection
Experience
The Digital Photography & Imaging module was a great introductory class that helped ease us into using photoshop effectively and efficiently. I really enjoyed the assignments we were given for this assignment as they were all varied and different which allowed for us to explore the unique features that Photoshop provides. My lecturer Mr. Fauzi was a great lecturer too, he focused more on the student's wellbeing and work rather than deadlines which allowed for us to work on our projects without needing to rush anything. The only exercise that I did not like for this module was the MyTIGER project, I personally found it to be taxing and forced as it got in the way of other work as the lecturers and classes pushed for us to focus on the competition. I do wish we were able to spend more time learning in this class as a quarter of our classes this semester were cancelled due to holidays which made learning a bit harder.
Observations
During my time in this module I noticed that I'm quite particular with how particular I like to present my work, even if they go against the assignment in certain aspects. I've also noticed that I'm surprisingly adept at working with photoshop despite never having used it before as I tend to be able to work with this application quite easily. It may be due to my past experience with cinematography and photography since I studied HL Film in high school for me IB Diploma.
Findings
Now that I've completed this module for this semester, I'm not surprised by the amount of effort that goes into editing all the different elements in a composition and making them all fit into one cohesive piece as I've seen how the work is done before. However I am surprised by how many different aspects there are to the alterations you can make to specific parts as to me I thought a lot of them did the same thing but was amazed at how each adjustment preset is able to drastically change the way a composition looked. I do plan on spending more time with Photoshop during the break to experiment and try out other features we didn't learn about and create more compositions for my own personal use.
