After meeting with our lecturers and presenting what we had in Task 2, the main focus during this time was to work on the animatics which our animation members were supposed to do. Sketches After we presented our proposal from Task 1, I moved onto designing the characters as we were told by one of our lecturers that I, the group member who studied Entertainment Design, should be doing the sketches and character design instead of our other group member Jane who is a much better artist than me. For Major Project 1 are tasked with forming a group of 4 students from the same specialization area and coming up with a large-scale project that we are to complete by the end of our third year. This module is meant to help us better understand industry training and it's workflow as well as having something substantial for our portfolio. Because we only had seven weeks to do this, we started this project at the start of the semester and worked on it throughout. We started off by discussing what topics would be interesting to discuss as we were not given a limit or guideline as to what it is we could research, which lead to us having ideas such as mental health, issues within the animation industry, and the iceberg concept. Project 1, Part 1 For project 1, we had to find an infographic poster online and redesign it in a simplified way. The poster can be any poster of our choice but would ideally have to be a poster that does not look good.
